A light in the darkness
Some hope for us all
A beacon, a searchlight
It answers our call
We are burdened
We are tired
We are frightened
We are ill
But the light shines upon us
There's a chance for us still
It comforts
And warms us
It staves off our fears
It has always reassured us
For all of our years
As long as we have it
We'll not be alone
And some day
When we're ready
It will lead us home.
